This painting happened during the summer of 2020. My dream of seeing big blue whales one day seemed unreachable. At this point, I was leaving a contradicting and somewhat dysfunctional lifestyle. I started reimagining a whole new life ahead of me. There was one thing I felt a calling for. Breaching the edges of the standards of accepted reality and making closely familiar things adopt unexpected colors. And this is how the orange whale named Carrot was born.
Update: The original painting now has a home. Owned by Allison Eggers, a fellow artist (Instagram). Since December, 2025.
