Carrot and a Calf (2020)
Acrylic on canvas (original)

In 2020, The-Year-We-Shall-Not-Name, in solitude, reframing and restructuring of my life, I chose to put one of my dreams into a painting. There is a dream of swimming with big blue whales and making friends with them. What wonderful gargantuan beasts they are... I dream of feeling their unspoken, authentic intelligence that comes from their giant hearts. In the process, a creative spark came in - to play the opposite game with colors. And so the whales happened to be orange.

One joke by a comedian, Demetri Martin, kept me captivated: "Did you know that they discovered an orange before they discovered a carrot?"

And so Carrot it became.

Available in canvas print, paper print, and postcards.
